CORPORATE ACCOUNTANT

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Corporate Accountant is responsible for all accounting related aspects of his/her assigned departments, and liaison between department executives and the accounting department

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • All accounting related aspects of assigned departments (including accounting, outlook/budgeting, coding AP invoices)

    May also be accountable for maintaining and reconciling selected balance sheet accounts
  • Accurate, on-time, journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare, summarize, and present accurate financial results and forecasts.
  • Assist department executives in creation of, and management to, budgets.
  • Perform financial analysis to assist senior leadership in the effective management of their departments.
  • Liaison (together with their manager) between department executives and the accounting department
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned by manager and upper management.
  • Follow legal policies as directed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • ​Intermediate knowledge of GAAP Accounting
  • Basic knowledge of Oracle accounting software helpful
  • 0-2 years accounting experience​
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel BA/BS in Accounting or related field

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Oracle e Business Suite
  • Financial Analysis
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present results to high level executives

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willingness to work long hours and weekends if needed
  • Ability to travel between Think Cosmopolitan locations in Vancouver, BC.
