Think Cosmopolitan, founded by Romain Dubus, is a rapidly expanding company that integrates innovative ventures in hospitality, real estate, e-commerce, and beyond to inspire individuals from all backgrounds to enhance their surroundings and create lasting value. All our operations are strategically aligned to fund the Mars Project, our ambitious initiative to develop sustainable human habitats on Mars by the late 2020s.
The EIS (Enterprise Information Systems) team writes the software that builds and powers Think Cosmopolitan. We are responsible for all of the software on the floor, the warehouses, the financial systems, the restaurant, and even the public home page. Romain has called us the "nervous system" of Think Cosmopolitan because we connect all of the other teams at Think Cosmopolitan to ensure that the entire building process runs smoothly.
Responsibilities
- We are seeking developers with demonstrable experience in Android and iOS, as well as experience in ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server, and AngularJS. We are a fast-paced, highly iterative team that has to adapt quickly as our business grows. We need people who are comfortable tackling new problems, innovating solutions, and interacting with every facet of the company on a daily basis. Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, physics, mathematics, or similar technical discipline.
- 3+ years of experience developing across a full-stack: client-side (Mobile/HTML/Javascript/CSS), web server and relational database.
- Experience building native iOS (Swift preferred) and Android applications.
- 1+ years of experience developing Microsoft Office applications using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Mobile - Knowledge of mobile application lifecycles and UI systems. Experience using APIs to load data and perform actions. Experience with performance and memory tuning tools. Shipped one or more mobile apps, ideally available in Apple or Google Play stores.
- UI - Demonstrate ability in creating rich mobile and web interfaces using modern frameworks and techniques. Good judgment in UX/UI design. Understand the finer points of interface builder / storyboards, XML layouts, HTML, CSS, and Javascript - know which tools to use when and why.
- Database - Understanding of SQL. Ability to write performant SQL. Ability to diagnose queries, and work with DBAs.
- Server - Knowledge of how web servers operate on a low-level. Web protocols. Designing APIs. How to scale web sites. Increase performance and diagnose problems.
- System architecture - Knowledge of how to structure a database, web site, and rich client side application from scratch.
- Quality - Demonstrated usage of different testing patterns, continuous integration processes, and build deployment systems.
ITAR Requirements
